Coach Adam Winegarden Bio:
Adam Winegarden is entering his 5th season as Director of Football and Head Coach for Auburn City Schools. This will be his 20th season in coaching and 12th season as a Head Coach. Coach currently has an overall record of 98-31. He received his undergraduate degree in Special Education and played football at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Later, he received his Master’s Degree in Education from Tusculum University and his Educational Specialist Degree in Administration from Lincoln Memorial University. Coach has been married to the love of his life, Ashley for the past 19 years. They have 4 wonderful children; Andie Kate (9), Brodie (13), Drew (15), and Haley (18) who is attending The Juilliard School of Dance in New York.
Coach Winegarden truly believes in the program mission that, “All stakeholders involved in our program are on a mission to develop the ‘whole’ player. We will impact a young person’s character, academics, and athletic development in a team atmosphere. We believe that all three components are essential to the Tiger Program. Players will leave Auburn better prepared for the real world, they will leave a Champion for Life.” Coach leads a program to help our young people become better prepared for the real world through the great game of football. Learning the value of getting an education, being a great teammate, having a coachable mindset, and playing for a larger purpose are essential to future success.
Coach Winegarden wants to encourage anyone associated at any level with our program to seek a standard of excellence. If every aspect of player development is important then every person involved in our program is not only important, but vital to player success. It takes a “Village” to have a great football program and we want everyone involved as this program continues to build as an Elite Program in Alabama.
